Summer Festivals

Hello Chicagoland Friends

I would like to submit to you one of the best high energy / dance big bands Chicago has to offer.

Big Band Boom!

We also happen to be fronted by one of Chicago’s most treasured singers, Kimberly Gordon.

Wynton Marsalis had this to say about Kimberly Gordon:

“This girl ain’t bull$#%$ing”
– Wynton Marsalis – Director Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra

Chicago hero and Blue Note artist, Kurt Elling, has this to say about Kimberly:

“Kimberly Gordon is the real deal. The ultimate swing-lovers singer!”
– Kurt Elling

After recently concluding a 10 year engagement at the legendary Green Mill in Uptown, Kimberly has reactivated her love of big band music and has been swinging stages all across the Midwest with Big Band Boom! Please take a listen to our samples and I am sure you will find something that will make your toes tap.

Beyond performing, the band is committed to educating audiences in this great american art form. Our singer Kimberly Gordon writes for some of the local jazz publications and covers artists all over the area in order to promote the local jazz scene. There is some amazing talent to be found in Chicago.

We are also favorites over at WGN and perform on their morning show regularly.

We love working with park districts, arts centers, and other organization’s to produce a show that will be remembered for years.

We are only able to schedule a limited number of these types of events during the summer so if you think this is something you would be interested in, please contact us soon.

Below are nice little sampling of videos and mp3’s. Please take a listen and let me know what you think!
